Pink-Champagne Bubble on the Disney Dream

Pink. No, I'm not talking about the teeny-bopper clothing line from Victorias Secret. I'm talking about the adorable champagne bar on the Disney Dream.

If Disney Vacation Club is Disney's "best kept secret" then Pink is Disney Cruise Line's best kept secret.

This little bubble in The District (the 18+ only area on the Disney Dream) is a delight. I remember watching old episodes of "I Dream of Jeanie" and thinking it would be so cool to have a bottle you could just pop into. A lush oasis for only you with all your favorite things and comforts designed just for you. To me, Pink is my Jeanie's bottle, my own little champagne bubble of delight. I love the way the decor is modern and not over the top girlie...you won't find any blinding Barbie pink here, only sophisticated modern decor that's posh and plush all at the same time.

The exterior entrance boast a delightful lit nook of the signature Pink Champagne, "Taittinger Prestige Rose" which is exclusive to Disney Cruise Line and even features the adorable pink elephant from Dumbo on the label. This delightfully adorable bottle of  pink champagne will set you back 91 peanuts, or for those who don't speak Dumbo, that's $91.00. This exclusive champagne is also featured as part of the "Colette Cocktail" at Remy, the French restaurant aboard the Disney Dream. I was able to taste this champagne at Remy and it's quite tasty. I wasn't expecting much because i'm not really a champagne drinker but those pink fizzies had me bubbling with delight.

My favorite thing about this little bubble of a bar is the decor. It's soft, modern and comfortable without being overly gender stereotyped as "girlie. There are deep pinks, light pinks and soft grays and the mix of textures and textiles give this little bubble a great depth and modern feel. The pink bubbles on the walls light up randomly and if you look closely you might even see the signature Pink elephant floating in a champagne bubble. There's a mixture of cozy chairs with end tables, chaise type chairs and rounded corner booths to accommodate a variety of party sizes so it's perfect for a pre-dinner cocktail with your sweetie or to meet with a group of friends while you wait for Evolution to open its doors.

It's a quiet place with a great atmosphere that many people haven't discovered. Go check out Disney Cruise Line's best kept secret...but if I show up and it's full...someone better off me a seat! :)
