The District

Alright, we know your kids are safe in the kids clubs and want nothing to do with you; you've served your time on the AquaDuck and now you're ready for "grown up stuff". Where can you go on a Disney Cruise to get away from kids and be pampered and have the vacation you've been dreaming of? Is there such a place? YES! There is a surprising amount of adults only areas on each of the ships.

As fantastically themed and fabulously fun as the family and children's areas are, each of the adults area are equally beautiful and serene. The sound difference alone between the family pools and the adults only pool will make you believe in miracles!

Here is a peek of the adult pool at night, I didn't want to disturb the adults sunning and drinking during the day to get a picture. Plus, we prefer no photographic evidence of the happenings at the adult pool. "What happens at the adult pool, stays at the adult pool".

The Magic and Wonder have a lap style pool for the adults, very similar in size and shape to the Donald and Goofy pools. Turns out the only portions of those pools that were being used were the edges; where adults would hang on the edge to cool off with a drink in their hand. The Disney Dream has solved this "empty middle of the pool" problem by reshaping the pool and inserting seats around the edges of the round pool. You can also swim up to the bar, that's located right in the pool or have your bum on a stool and your feet in the water. Need I say more?

In the evenings The District is the adults only area for nightlife. The District is a collection of adults only entertainment areas that offer different versions of entertainment.

The areas within The District are each themed and have something unique to appeal to your tastes. Explaining each and every one of them would make this post incredibly long and I probably couldn't do them justice. Here's a highlight of what The District has to offer:

• 687-A sports bar where families can play games during the day, and adults can have a cocktail and watch sports in the evening.
• District Lounge-a nighttime spot with a modern feel-this is where you can find a duo of live entertainment nightly.
• Evolution-A dance hot-spot with evening activities such as "match your mate" and karaoke.
• Meredian-Shares a spot between Palo and Remy perfect for a before or after dinner drink. Inside offers great oceanviews and cozy chairs outside offer a breezy ocean overlook.
• Pink-Feel like you're inside a champagne bottle and have a cocktail in this quiet intimate environment.
• Skyline-a cosmopolitan sky bar with great city views. Enjoy a panoramic view of the worlds most famous cities that change as you enjoy your cocktail.

Outside of The District there are still plenty of places to lounge or have a drink

• Currents-located on deck 13 above the adults only sun deck. Sit and get some sun and have a drink!
• Cove Cafe-Offers snacks, gourmet coffee and cocktails as well as books and magazines to borrow.

And let's not forget about the spa! Senses is beautifully themed with modern and fresh decor and feels like they have gone green. Plenty of bamboo and textiles make you feel like this spa has made all the right choices in "going green". Here's a photo of the quiet room, and yes it has everything you'd imagine for a quiet oasis. Comfy chairs with privacy dividers and a very serene feeling. There is also fresh ice water and a selection of hot teas to enjoy while in this room.
