Celebrate the Holidays Aboard Disney Cruise Line

Holiday time at the parks is always exciting, I love seeing the castle glisten with those amazing lights and having cocoa while it snows on Mainstreet U.S.A. during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party. While the parks may have become part of your families holiday traditions, did you know that Disney Cruise Line has festivities as well?

From November 2012 to early January 2013 the Disney Cruise Line is complete with holiday decorations from sea to surf. The ships feature special festivities including a tree lighting ceremony in the lobby, character (dressed in their holiday garb of course!) meet and greets, holiday caroling by crew members from around the world, family gingerbread house decorating and holiday story time.

The celebration doesn't end when you reach the shores of Castway Cay. They haven't forgotten to deck the halls...or rather the palm trees with plenty of yuletide cheer. The island has been turned into a magical wonderland complete with snow flurries, a Christmas tree and Mr. and Mrs. Snowman (in beach attire of course). Even the tram has been decorated to resemble a reindeer...antlers and all.
