Hawaii cruise-Disney Wonder
The port terminal was buzzing with excitement today while Hawaiin inspired tunes played in the background. The port terminal looked like a convention for Hawaaiin shirts and leis...almost everyone had one and the boarding process was a bit like the running of the bulls. Needless to say we're all very excited about Disneys inaugural voyage to Hawaii.
The spa is doing a $500 raffle....wish me luck! And the port day specials are booking quickly. There is a lot of excitement as we all can't wait to see what this long voyage has to offer. I'm hoping to see a prem-EAR of the Avengers at 12:01am on May 4th but nothing has been officially announced.
The ship is packed with repeat cruisers and the Gold and Platinum reception is expected to see 900 guests so it will be hosted up on deck 9 as opposed to in Studio Sea like normal.
So far I've noticed the Hawaiin flair everywhere....the staff is saying "aloha" and "mahalo" and it's starting to feel a lot like "Ohana" and we haven't even left port yet!!! There are special touches like an elaborate ice sculpture with fruit lettering in the lobby and there seems to be a lot of staff on hand-even more than normal.
There is a note in the personal navigator that Hawiian merchandise is limited to 2per person for the first 3 days so I can't wait to see what the shops have to offer when we set sail!!!
I am saving navigators and port excursion guides and will be taking notes so stay tuned for updates on my maiden voyage to hawaii!!!!
Time to dip in the pool before the safety drill and spa raffle...more updates in a few days! If theres something specific you'd like to know about this cruise send your questions to michele@pixievacations.com and I'll do recon and get back to you!!!
Aloha!
Hi Michele! We will be on the Oct Wonder Hawaii Cruise - to celebrate our 30th Anniversary - I'd love to hear about the # of formal / semi formal nights, and when they are in schedule -( even though we will have one less night at sea. Also, any info on excursions that you have booked and what the dining restaurant rotations are would be helpful. ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteI think that you would definitely enjoy the Disney-themed Hawaii Cruises!
