Yes, I'm aware it's Christmas and no, I haven't lost my mind by suggesting you plan your spring break vacation now.
I'm well aware that we are in December, and the kids aren't out of school till February. I'm also well aware that by the time you survive Christmas break you'll want to send your kids (and the rest of your family) someplace far, far away.
In order to make your spring break dreams come true, don't wait until February to plan your spring break getaway. You could find great rates on Disney Cruise Line that won't last until February or take advantage of the wonderful discounts at Walt Disney World, you could even break early and get your 5th night free at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko' Olina, Hawaii.
So why should you up your stress level by planning your spring break now?
1. There are Disney deals and steals out right now that won't be available come February
2. All you need now is your deposit and if you're trying to cut corners, make your spring break getaway part of your family's holiday present. Why not put a vacation planning DVD or other information in your kids stocking? There's no reason a trip can't be a part of your Christmas celebration. Just because you can't "open" a Disney vacation doesn't mean you can't build the excitement and also give your kids something to do over break and something to look forward to when they start back to school.
A Disney DVD they can watch and see what they're going to experience is a lot of fun. When they can visualize the activities they'll be able to partake in it can be very exciting and make the pending vacation feel very real.
Disney Family has a great website where you can find games, printables and other fun crafts that are all Disney themed. These are great for those long snowy days indoors to stave off boredom and keep them excited about Disney.

Mail a letter from Santa or from Mickey Mouse himself telling your family about their vacation
The options are endless. So, what now? While you're shopping online for those last minute gifts, digging around for coupon codes because your budget is already over the limit, and generally wishing a fairy godmother would appear to take care of your house before your family shows up for the holiday parties...send me a quick email and let me know what you want, and I'll do the rest of the work.
As they say on Magical Express, "sit back and relax, you'll be there soon!"
