How to Save on Aulani-Disney's Destination in Hawaii
In August 2011 Disney opened the doors to their newest destination, Aulani. With breathtaking landscaping and architecture Aulani is in the heart of Ko' Olina, 30 minutes away from Waikiki in its own all encompassing oasis.
You won't find yourself far from civilization, there are golf courses right across the street...but staying at Aulani will feel like you are at your own private island paradise.
It goes without saying that Hawaii is not an affordable vacation destination. When you think "budget travel" Hawaii is not the first destination that comes to mind.
So, how do you get to this fantasy island without breaking the bank? Here are some tips:
Take advantage of the special offers, such as the current one, that must be booked by December 16, 2011
Travel dates: November 27th to December 16th, January 4-January 12th, January 16th-January 25th
Stay four consecutive nights between the above listed travel dates and your 5th night is free!
This offer excludes suites and 3-bedroom villas, is limited to 2 rooms per reservation, not valid on previously booked rooms and requires advance reservations.
How else can you save on Aulani? Buy a 2012 entertainment book. What good will this book do for your Aulani vacation? Plenty actually!
The Hawaii discounts mostly apply to Oahu, which is perfect if you are staying at Aulani. Some of the benefits from the entertainment book include:
25% off up to 4 adult admissions to the Paradise Cove Luau (walking distance to Aulani)
$20 per person discount for Ocean Joy Cruises, which offer dolphin/wale/sea turtle-watching and snorkeling cruises out of Ko Olina Marina
2-for-1 and other discount coupons for fast-food and casual dining restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive of Aulani
2-for1 adult admission to the Polynesian Cultural Center
Rental Car Coupons
Miscellaneous other discounts
Enter zip code 96707 for the Hawaii entertainment book.
Other ways to save? At the entrance of Ko Olina is Island Country Market, which has your Hawaii play things at a fraction of the cost of Aulani. Snorkeling gear is $10 per hour to rent at Aulani, at Island Country Market, you can get a snorkel set for $12.00
Last but not least...Aulani offers a 10% discount for ALL Disney theme park annual passes. Any Disney park will do! This offer is good until the end of 2012.
