15 Reasons to Cruise with Disney Cruise Line

Cruising is a completely different vacation experience. Instead of being frightened by the possibility of something new, you should embrace all the wonderful experiences that Disney Cruise Line has to offer.

Vacation planning usually falls on the Mom. We have to plan, we have to book, we have to pack, we have to unpack and don't even think about asking for help with the laundry afterward! Often times we return from our vacations needing a vacation from our vacation! This is why I love cruising, it's actually a vacation for EVERYONE! Yes Moms of the world...that means you!

Before you read this list let me preface it by addressing the "family time" issue. My husband and I have cruised numerous times alone, during our second cruise we saw a little boy standing with his mom and crying hysterically at the entrance to one of the kids clubs. We stood aside and watched and silently scoffed and judged, saying we would NEVER put our kids under a strangers supervision...blah blah blah. About 2 minutes later we heard the mother pleading, "PLEASE just eat dinner with me and Daddy and you can come RIGHT BACK and play with your friends, I PROMISE". It was then we realized the child was crying because he didn't want to leave, not because he didn't want to go in.

I have talked with countless parents on various cruises since then and have heard nothing but rave reviews about what a great time the kids have in the kids clubs and how much the parents enjoy the peace and quiet of the adults only pool. So, do yourselves and your kids a favor...and look into the kids clubs...it'll be a much more enjoyable experience for everyone!

Disney Cruise Line has provided this list of the top 15 reasons you'll love to cruise with them:
  • Have as much (or as little) family together time as you want
  • The kids can’t get lost
  • Everyone eats dinner together
  • There is no packing and unpacking every few days
  • Your beds are made every morning and turned down every night
  • Staff members will get to know you by name-and often anticipate what you want before you ask for it
  • There are activities for every age group-and some ships even offer babysitting services
  • No actual cash is needed-and you can decide if the kids can have charging privileges
  • Eat all the food you want and work it off by taking the stairs
  • Get as dressed up-or dressed down as you want
  • Meet people from all over the world
  • Grownups can get alone time while the kids are having their own supervised fun
  • See some of the most beautiful places on the planet that other transportation can’t easily reach
  • And…each day breaks down to less than $85 a person (for adults) on average
Yes, it's true...Disney Cruise Line is not the cheapest of the family cruise lines; however it is, without a doubt the best. The Kid's Clubs are unparallelled with activities from morning to night, divided and customized for their age groups. It's all included...your food (even multiple entrees at dinner time), entertainment, kids programs (except for Flounders Reef Nursery, for kids age 2 and under), movies and all the activities on the ship. You won't find better service (what other cruise line welcomes your family by name when you step on-board?!) and there is no family vacation experience quite like it!
