I personally couldn't be more excited about the Fantasyland expansion at Magic Kingdom. I'm that person who peeks over the construction walls and takes photos while I'm on Dumbo. I can't wait it for it to all be ready for our exploration!
Barnstormer was never really a major attraction for us in Toontown, mostly because my daredevil step-son didn't find it scary enough for his taste. I was delighted to ride The Great Goofini at Disneyland for the first time during my last visit and I must say, the themeing was adorable and I hope the ride is structured similarly in Disney World.
The Disneyland Goofini is has a track similar to Primeval Whirl, at Animal Kingdom. The ride cars are different and the ride system is MUCH better. Unlike Primeval Whirl, you won't feel the need to consult a chiropractor the minute you exit the ride. However, the ride system can't be given all the credit, I think the small, square 2 seater ride cars have a lot to do with it as well. Two adults are quite snug in there!
The Great Goofini's assistant is this adorable chicken, who offers you a "parashoot" before you board for your flight.
The premise of the ride is you are in flight school learning to fly the Goofy way.
The view is great from up here, it's fun to see over California Adventure and feel the breeze whip through your hair when you "learn to turn".
No flight would be complete without a nosedive and the perfect landing.
The only problem with the ride is that for the adults it feels like it ends too soon. The theming, signage and ride is SO much fun!
Congratulations student pilots, you've completed flight training!
