New Fantasyland Opening Ceremony

New Fantasyland officially opened with plenty of disney flair. This milestone event hosted special guest Tom Staggs, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, actress Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White from ABC's "Once Upon a Time" and singer Jordin Sparks from American Idol. Mickey Mouse was also on-site to take part in the ceremony and was donning some special never before seen "New Fantasyland" duds.

As I'm sure you well know by now New Fantasyland is home to Beasts Castle with the popular Be Our Guest restaurant, Maurice's Cottage which hosts Enchanted Tales with Belle, Bonjour gifts and of course Gaston's Tavern with the famed Le Fou's (non-alcoholic frozen apple cider). You can make a quick snack stop at Maurice's Popping Cart (pop corn) if you didn't already fill up on manly items like pork shank and turkey legs at Gaston's Tavern.

Follow the path toward Prince Eric's Castle where the Adventures of the Little Mermaid away and have some fun "Unda Da Sea". There is even a new "underground" area to meet and greet Ariel herself.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster is well underway with an expected opening date in 2014. This dark ride mini coaster will be a cross between Barnstormer and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad but utilizing new technology with swiveling ride carts.

Storybook Circus is now fully operational with the dueling Dumbos and big top interactive queue. Stop in at Pete's Silly Sideshow to meet some favorite friends in their new circus related jobs. The Casey Jr. Splash Station is a great place for the little one's to have some wet and wild fun and keep an eye out for the "Giggle Gang" who will be hitting the streets of the circus soon.
