Disney News Round Up

It's Wednesday and we all know you are sitting at your desk at work counting the minutes until you can make a clean getaway and surfing the internet. Here's a round up of recent Disney news, all wrapped up nice and tidy in one place.

• Scooter Storage Policy-Disney has announced that only approved companies will be allowed to pick-up or drop-off scooters with bell services at your resort. This new policy will be effective November 1st, as well as the list of approved companies. Guests will still be able to rent motorized scooters from their preferred company however you will to make arrangements to meet the company at drop off and pick up as bell services and Cast Members at your resort will not be on hand to assist you. Surprisingly, popular company "Walker Mobility" is rumored to not have made the list but Buena Vista Scooters is. 
• Starting Sunday, October 28th Wreck it Ralph and Vanellope will appear at the Art of Animation building inside Disney's Hollywood Studios. The "set" will be set up like Sugar Rush, one of the games in Game Central Station. Ralph will most likely be center stage where we've seen previous popular friends such as Pooh Bear, Lotso Bear, Carl Frederickson and Dugg.
• Disney Cruise Line is monitoring Hurricane Sandy as it moves through the Caribbean toward the Bahamas. For safety purposes the Captains may alter course or itinerary. 
• Disney announced (by unveiling an ice castle in NYC) that "Limited Time Magic" would be hitting the parks in 2013. These little mini celebrations are limited time engagements to enhance your magical experience within the parks. Magical celebrations include Villains taking over the parks, a gathering of characters old and new, a themed party to celebrate Independence Day and a romantic interlude for Valentines day. • New Years Eve celebrations have been announced for the Walt Disney World Resort. More detailed info to follow on that but guests can look forward to fireworks, dessert parties, dance parties, DisneyQuest cyber fun and a collectible memento from Cirque du Soleil.
• New Fantasyland has opened its gates to visitors on a random schedule for a "dress rehearsal". There is no guarantee which portions of Fantasyland will be open to guests at which time but the lucky folks who've gotten behind the walls are raving about it.
