Foodie Friday: Chicken Fetuccini on Disney Cruise Line

“You went and saved the best for last…” is the song I wanted to sing when we arrived at Animator’s Palate on the Disney Fantasy.

This was the final location on our dining rotation for the three night preview cruise on the Disney Fantasy. The Captain’s Gala menu offered a new (to me) dish of Chicken Fettucini.

The best way to describe this is as a chicken breast rolled in herb and spice shake n’ bake and baked in the oven. The chicken is sliced and put over a bowl of fettucini noodles in a light fettucini sauce that tastes more like a parmesan sauce than a traditional alfredo sauce.

The crumb crust on the chicken was filled with herbs and flavors and the chicken was moist and tender. The noodles were warm and comforting and the whole meal was like a bowl of comfort food that your mom would make…but taken up a notch.

The flavors were evident but not overwhelming and I really enjoyed this dish. I felt it was a nice option to have and a nice break from the incessant flux of steak, tenderloin, beef and pork that cruise line menus seem to have an abundance of. This is something I was happy to see on the menu and was even happier when I finished the dish!
