Foodie Friday: Crab Cakes @ Narcoossee's

My food obsession runs deep but my biggest Disney World food obsession is Narcoossee’s. There isn’t much at Narcoossee’s I don’t crave on a regular basis, which is why it’s always on the top of our list for dining reservations and it’s not rare that we eat dinner there more than once during a trip.
No description could give the crab cakes a worthy review but I’ll do my best to express their deliciousness!

If you are not a seafood lover, we are in the same boat, and yet…the crab cakes are always a must for my Narcoosssee’s meal. That right there should give you an indication of how tasty they are, because I detest seafood.

The crab cake starts with jumbo lump crab meat that’s light  and feathery and the chefs certainly don’t skimp on the crab portions. The crab cakes have rotated over the past few years between one jumbo crab cake or two smaller sized crab cakes. I really don’t care how they are on the plate…they all get in my mouth the same way…quickly and with no remorse.

The crispy outside isn’t oily or greasy and gives the crab cake the perfect crunch on the outside before you reach the fluffy crab meat on the inside. Packed with an array of amazing flavors these crab cakes will blow you away. Neither spicy nor sweet, not salty or over-spiced, the preparation on these crab cakes promote all that is delicious and right in the world.

Your fork will gently melt apart the crab cake without turning it to mush. The crispy outside holds the tender crab meat together and makes the perfect coating for this amazing appetizer.
The combination of flavors doesn’t leave your taste buds overwhelmed with one particular flavor, however the blend of spices and textures are something your taste buds won’t soon forget.

I like the crab cakes best when they’re served over the slightly spicy coleslaw. The slaw is a great way to up the flavor factor with your crab cakes or eat separately; because it’s good enough to stand alone!
